Welcome to my site!
If you are on this page because you want to know ‘about’ me, then I appreciate you stopping by! I prefer to chat on the phone or meet in person, but here’s a little bio…
I’ve been photographing weddings/people/places/events for over 10 years now – this is the longest job I’ve ever had, so I obviously love it! My style is like me – simple, straight-forward, personal, positive, an open-book, and down-to-earth. I fit into a lot of categories, probably because of my quiet midwestern upbringing, later moving to Atlanta and gaining a big-city/international-influenced mindset with friends from all over the world, and now a slower-paced life with my husband and daughter in Alabama. And one dog (Daisy) and some chickens (they have names too!). Personality and environment inspire my photography as I love capturing real moments.
As far as experience goes, I began with a film 35 mm Canon over 15 years ago…I left a career in civil engineering and became a poor college student (again!), attending the Art Institute of Atlanta and working in a full-service portrait studio. Later, I began my own photographic career separately, focusing on weddings and events as well as real estate/commercial properties and some travel marketing imagery. Weddings and seniors (and bar/bat mitzvahs!) are my first love, but my husband is now my [literal] pilot for our quad, shooting aerial video and stills weddings, scenery and real estate.
